We had a call for photographic representations of Amy and Andrew.  This morning we posted one photo on the Guest Book page, but more will be coming.  The photo is from our first Christmas together and was taken by Theresa Tomich, Andrew’s mother.

Poll: Wedding Favors?

That’s right, because you took the time to visit our site, you get to help have a say in our wedding.

Every book we’ve read (yes, Metz read a book about wedding planning too) says that nobody cares about favors, and that most of the time they just get left at the ceremony site anyway.  We don’t believe that we can buck that trend, but we do believe we can have fun with them now that we know that they’re not important.  Below are a number of options we are considering for favors for our wedding.  Please select your favorite and let us know!

 

Save-the-Dates are on Their Way!

That’s right!  Amy’s wrist is all worn out from addressing envelopes, Metz is sighing with relief that his handwriting isn’t good enough to help, and both of us are gaping at the amount we’re going to end up spending on postage.  But the Save-the-Date project is done and going out the door when the post office opens on Monday.  That means you should receive your very own save-the-date by the end of next week.

If you’ve come to the site because you’ve received your save-the-date, welcome and thanks for looking!  Amy and I will try to update this site at least weekly with some information about what’s going on in our lives and/or what’s going on in our wedding planning processes.  Feel free to register on our website and make comments, and let us know if there’s anything we haven’t put on here that you’d like to see!

In the meantime, we also held our first script-brainstorming session on December 27th, and we’re well on the way to writing a script that nobody (not even Metz) could have anticipated.  I’m not going to give anything away yet, but be prepared for a unique ceremony on July 2nd!
